Introduction
As a CAE Application Manager (m/f/d), you belong to Sappi’s newly established CAE team, which gradually introduces and then actively supports and improves the modern engineering and lifecycle management system at our locations. CAE systems are used for the comprehensive planning and documentation of new and existing plants. All areas of plant engineering, from process engineering to electrical, measurement, and control engineering, to operation, are involved.
Organization
The Central Technology & Engineering department is preparing and managing Major Capex projects for the Mills of Sappi in Europe. They support the mills in proposing solutions for the fields of paper/board processes, converting, energy, water treatment and environment.The new established CAE team is supporting the mills in Europe. The Central department is located in Gratkorn (Austria) and consist of ±30 technologists and project managers and 7 CAE applications managers.
Function
Here’s what you can achieve with us:
- Gradual introduction and conceptual further development of CAE systems
- Adaptation of the database and functions for planning and operation
- Designing processes within and around the system and its interfaces
- Conducting system tests
- Ensuring sustainability and future-proofing of databases
- Ensuring continuous and stable system operation
- Supporting internal departments, projects, and external service providers as the first point of contact
Requirements
What convinces us about you:
- Degree in engineering or completed HTL (Higher Technical Institute), alternatively, education or a degree in a technical field combined with IT affinity and CAE knowledge
- Experience as a CAE key user
- Advanced skills in script creation (VBA, VBScript), experience with Microsoft.NET from version 3.0 and with Visual Studio 2010
- Experience in successfully implementing projects for system introduction, ideally related to CAD/CAE programs
- Very good knowledge of using Microsoft 365 programs
- Enjoyment of forward-thinking, independent, self-organized work
- Analytical and systematic disposition
- Very good German and English language skills in both spoken and written forms
